Say hello to Wally, a 6-year old, purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He lives with his Dad, Matt B., in Cheney, Washington, along with his girlfriend, Joelean, and her dog, Winston. Matt got Wally when he was just 12 weeks old after discovering the expressive nature and cuteness of a family member’s Corgi.
Since then, Matt and Wally have been inseparable best friends. Wally loves to have his belly rubbed, car rides, cookies (treats) and chasing around his best doggie-friend Winston. And even though Winston is almost twice the size of Wally, Wally is in complete control of the house letting Winston know when he can eat, be in the living room or go outside.
Wally likes to camp and hike with his Dad, but sometimes it’s hard to keep up with such short legs. That’s no matter for Wall, he just keeps going, wagging his cute little tail the whole way. Wally is full of personality and is very vocal. It’s not uncommon to hear his bark 2 or 3 blocks away. Not only that, but everyone in Wally’s house has to spell the word “cookie” because, if Wally hears the actual word, he starts “talking” in hopes of getting one.
