Shorty, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi from Texas
Meet handsome Shorty. He’s 2 1/2 years old and he lives with his family in Central Texas. Josie R., Shorty’s mom, was not familiar with Pembroke Welsh Corgis, but her husband always wanted one, so now she’s hooked on this breed, too, and would like to have more than one someday.
Shorty likes to have his belly tickled, enjoys body massages and likes to sleep belly up. He’s also spoiled with lots of toys (that keep him from chewing on furniture) and lots of walks. Shorty enjoys car rides as much as he enjoys walks and going to the park, and he sometimes gets to go to stores where he’s allowed to go in, which he loves.
Shorty is not only beautiful, he’s smart, too. He is a very well-behaved Corgi, knows tricks, such as “shake” and “rollover”, and he knows his front yard’s boundaries, and won’t try to chase dogs that pass by. Shorty loves to play, sleep, getting treats (his favorite are ribs), and he also likes snow, even though he doesn’t get too much of it in Texas.
Josie can’t get enough of her Corgi, and says that he’s such a blessing and joy to have. She also says that Shorty makes every day a happy day, and he’s better than a lot of people. So true..
Thanks, Josie, for sharing Shorty with us!

Hi! I had a pembrooke corgi named Shorty too. He has been with me since 1996 and just passed last Friday on my birthday. Enjoy this precious creature. Shorty will teach you so much about kindness, humor and unconditional love.
I never understood why my boys were obsessed with Pembrooke Corgi’s either. That was until we got one in July. Babar is nine months old now and quite the pistol. We adopted a friends beagle mix, and Babar loves to herd Molly all over the place. Have a lot of fun with your Corgi. We are looking to adopt another Corgi soon.
