Small Dogs, Big Jobs: Corgis Vs. Cattle (Video)

13 February 2014 ~ 3 Comments

I think I have now watched this video 10 times! I can’t believe I didn’t see it before, but Scott – the Corgi Dad in the video, sent it to me yesterday, and I just had to share it with you! It’s amazing to see Corgis doing what they were originally bred for! And the Corgis are so good at herding, and they also enjoy it, as you can see below.

In the video you can watch Katie, Hank, Bevy Lou (tri-colors) and Joey (red/white; he passed away last year for unknown reasons) helping Scott and his family with cattle on their ranch in Musselshell, MT. They’re absolutely adorable and you can tell they’re spoiled pets, too! Enjoy the video!

I am a dairy farmer in New Zealand and I used to use two Corgi’s for my stock work, 1200 milking cows 230 calves and 15 bulls. Thay are perfect love to please and love to work. I miss my old boy but I’ve still got my “fluffy scud”
